Another record attendance for the club AGM and presentation evening. There were some technical hitches with LRC equipment but the membership was very forgiving as usual.
We started just 5 minutes late. Nigel welcomed everyone and thanked everyone for voting online and coming along to support the club, it was recognised that this year had been difficult but that the club had grown in spite of that, with smiling faces and a happy atmosphere amongst all the membership.
Alec gave a summarised financial report, the club is in a good condition and ready for the anticipated financial challenges ahead.
The 7 committee members who were continuing to stand were voted in and members were asked to give thanks to Sarah Tidball who was standing down after her superb service as social secretary. Members were invited to express an interest in the role, there was lots of support for anyone who wishes to put their name forward. Dave gave a brief Q&A session re WPA and any questions were answered with positive comments from the floor.
