We were asked by Awen to attend their “Community Conversations with a Sporty Theme” at Whitchurch library hub to tell their members, and others attending, a little about Petanque.
There were also representatives from AFC Whitchurch Walking Football and Rhiwbina Table Tennis who gave an overview of their sports.
Sarah T and Sarah W went along to the session armed with boules, coches, a scoreboard, measuring tapes, circles etc to explain about the game and our club.
The session was really well received with lots of questions from the floor. People then had the opportunity to try out the game in the library park.
